Maryann has been painting most of her life, with landscapes and seascapes as her preferred subjects. Maryann's attention is grabbed by the rhythms of nature. She fixates on the movement of water and its reflections as they dance across the waves. Maryann feels lucky to have traveled over the years, always with a camera on hand. While the photos influence the ideas for her paintings, she uses acrylic paint in an expressionistic manner to emphasize the dark and the light interplay.
Sangeeta Rath is a self taught emerging artist based in Alpharetta, GA. She loves painting scenes from nature- the colors and patterns inspire her everyday. She primarily uses Oil paints, Acrylics and Watercolors to create and sometimes chooses the multi media approach.
Sangeeta paints in the Impressionism style with a hint of abstraction at times.
For her, painting is intuitive and organic. It challenges her and at the same time provides a creative outlet.
Sherri spent many years in Guatemala where she learned Spanish and worked for a Guatemalan Fashion Designer. She fell in love with the rich colors and authentic tapestries of the region. Sherri’s paintings are defined by her use of color and heavily influenced by the Guatemalan culture. She identifies herself as an impressionistic colorist. After Sherri started her family and her children started school she went back to Georgia State University and finished her education in art.
A chance move from Dallas, Texas to Atlanta prompted Sharmila to change career paths from being an architect to fulfilling her dream of being a fulltime artist. Sharmila works primarily in oils in large formats on canvas and describes her artistic style as modern impressionism. She does a variety of figurative works as well as contemporary abstracts. Her works are greatly influenced by nature and her day to day surroundings, its patterns, changing colors and moods.
Ken Rockelein has been practicing astrophotography since 2016. A full-time Science teacher in Forsyth County, he began the Astronomy program there in 2019. During the COVID lockdown his wife and son convinced him to build his own observatory behind their home in Duluth, which he named La Palma and is shown here. Now taking another step forward by making some of his favorite images available to the public, he hopes to bring his love and passion for learning about our Universe to a wider audience. He also wants a larger telescope and camera…
Ari Rozario is an Atlanta based visual artist. Ari was born in Memphis, Tennessee. Her interest in art developed at an early age. Ari had various notebooks of art which motivated her to further pursue her artistic dreams. After endless dedication, Ari's art has maintained a steady stream of recognition with many promising future events and partnerships.
Barbara Rush is an iconic animal artist with a deep love for animals and nature. Her vibrant, and colorful, acrylic paintings have won many awards as they pay tribute to the wonderful creatures she has delighted in capturing on canvas over the years. Her work can be found in thousands of private and corporate collections around the world.
Ms. Rush grew up with in Va. Beach, Va., spending much of her childhood riding horses, walking in the woods with her dog, cuddling her cats, and raising and releasing wild animals. She even had a pidgeon that came when she called it and rode on the windshield wipers of her car...but that’s a story for another day!
Educated in fine art and graphic design, Ms. Rush holds a BFA from Old Dominion University (VA) and an MA from Syracuse University (NY). With over 20 years of corporate experience as an Art Director and Graphic Designer, her art is heavily influenced by lines, grids, and gestalt principles.
In 2004, inspired by cubism, Rush developed her own style which she calls GeoCubismTM. As a GeoCubistTM she delights in the geometry of lines and shapes infused with vibrant colors. For her, there is nothing better than creating unique combinations of abstract shapes, that uplift the viewer, as they converge, to reveal a delightfully recognizable form.
Ms. Rush currently resides in Roswell, GA. and enjoys making animal lovers around the world happy through her colorful GeoCubistTM paintings. Now, with over 300 original paintings completed, from owls to cats, dogs to horses, and sea turtles to flamingos, you are sure to find the perfect work of art for your friends, family, or even yourself!
